GLOCEPS ADVANCES GLOBAL DIALOGUE ON SOUTH TO SOUTH PARTNERSHIPS IN SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL.
On Monday 27th October our Executive Director, Dr. Kenedy Asembo, PhD, contributed as a distinguished panelist in a pivotal session titled “Leveraging South–South Partnerships for a Sustainable Future” during a Conference organised by Southern Voice ( a network of 70 Think Tanks from 35 countries in the Global South). Dr. Asembo shared GLOCEPS successes and challenges in its partnerships with other Global South institutions to drive the policy agenda in climate change and institutional reforms in Africa.
He argued that South–South cooperation remains central to advancing development in the Global South, enabling countries and institutions to exchange knowledge, technology geared towards impactful research products on policy. By working together, Southern actors can develop solutions tailored to their unique contexts and priorities. As challenges such as climate change, inequality, and governance gaps intensify, intra-regional partnerships are increasingly essential.
