This inaugural edition of The Eastern Africa Journal of Policy and Strategy aims to create a scholarly forum for exploring policy formulation and strategic decision-making in Eastern Africa and beyond. This journal addresses the need for a specialized platform to discuss the complex socio-economic, political, and cultural challenges in the region, promoting innovative and context-based solutions.
The journal's objective is to foster interdisciplinary discourse that supports evidence-based policymaking and critical analysis of strategic choices. It aligns with the research themes of the Global Centre for Policy and Strategy (GLOCEPS), focusing on security and defence, foreign policy, transnational organized crimes, development, and governance and ethics.
The issue features a diverse collection of research articles reflecting the intellectual diversity of its contributors.
