On 19th May 2026, Ambassador Tom Amolo, EBS, paid a courtesy call to GLOCEPS Executive Director Dr. K. O. Asembo, PhD, OGW, HSC, to explore opportunities for collaboration in diplomacy, security, and regional policy engagement.

Ambassador Amolo acknowledged the growing role of GLOCEPS as a leading regional think tank contributing to the democratization and public understanding of foreign relations beyond traditional state institutions. He noted that recent GLOCCEPS enagegements demonstrated the important role of think tanks in shaping contemporary foreign policy discourse and international affairs.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of partnerships with universities and institutions of higher learning to provide practical mentorship opportunities for emerging international relations scholars, particularly in nontraditional sectors increasingly attracting global partnerships but with limited diplomatic engagement capacity.
