The challenges of youth unemployment and public disaffection in Kenya are intertwined with the country’s demographic trends. With a predominantly youthful population, this presents a long-term challenge that requires regular policy and programmatic action. Kenya’s youthful population, primarily consisting of Gen Z and millennials, is traditionally faced with the problem of unemployment. However, this has morphed over time manifesting itself in the breakdown of social fabric, unrest, and discontent with government.
