About This Event
The GLOCEPS Grand Strategy Mentorship Forum is a premier regional platform bringing together Kenya and Africa’s seasoned diplomats, strategy veterans, government officials, foreign missions, global business leaders, scholars, and emerging professionals to explore Africa’s geopolitical footprints with specific reference to Kenya’s gains, missteps, and lessons learnt. Efforts to clearly articulate Kenya’s grand strategy are evident in the Sessional Paper No. 01 of 2025. Meanwhile, beyond the 2030 Vision, the country’s diplomatic record demonstrates remarkable resilience, agility, ability to navigate competing interests, build partnerships, and secure significant geopolitical milestones in diplomacy, infrastructure, global security and fintech. Today, Kenya is home to UNEP and UN-Habitat and is destined to host more UN agencies. The successes in securing a seat at the UN Security Council; an invite to G7 summit; hosting of France-Africa Summit, TICAD VI, Our Oceans Conference, and the inaugural Africa Climate Summit, among others, are pointers to grand strategy in practice. The forum therefore provides a rare opportunity to engage directly with Kenya’s seasoned strategists, envoys and business leaders, and discuss the choices made, trade-offs, and experiences behind these gains. It will equip the next generation with practical lessons for navigating geopolitics and advancing Africa’s interests towards the realization of African Union Agenda 2063.
