Dr. Kenedy Asembo, GLOCEPS Executive Director, participated in the Strengthening Think Tanks Project workshop from 23–25 March 2026 in Nairobi.

Convened by Southern Voice, the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), and the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), the workshop brought together 14 think tanks from Bangladesh, Brazil, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Kenya, Senegal, and South Africa to address persistent gaps between research evidence and policymaking.

Using the newly co-created Resilience and Sustainability Self-Assessment Framework for think tanks in low- and middle-income countries, participants shared experiences, identified priority areas, and co-created a roadmap with actionable commitments to strengthen institutional capacities. These efforts will enable think tanks across the Global South to produce locally grounded evidence that informs national policies and global decisions, advancing more effective, evidence-based policymaking.
