A PhD student in International Relations focusing on Foreign Policy and Diplomacy, boasts 16 years of experience in foreign policy, diplomacy, intergovernmental relations, and multilateral policy development. She holds a master's in public administration from Harvard University, an MA in International Studies from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor's in Arts from Moi University. As a coach in Transforming Leadership for 21st Century Africa with Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government Executive Education, she's a dynamic educator. In addition, she was part of the inaugural class of the Obama Foundation for Emerging Leaders in Africa in 2018. Mercy is an Edward S. Mason Fellow and a distinguished woman in the Women in Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School. She's a member of the Global Diplomatic Forum, mentors for Harvard Women in Defence, Diplomacy, and Development (W3D), and is involved in the Advisory Council of Alumnae-i Network for Harvard Women.
