Ida Gathoni is a highly skilled researcher and policy analyst specializing in human rights, environmental justice, and security studies. With extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, she has conducted impactful studies across areas such as transnational organized crime, community development, climate change, resource-based conflict, and conflict management. Ida is adept at managing research projects, from developing plans to coordinating teams and producing high-quality reports that inform policy. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Security Studies at Kenyatta University where her dissertation focuses on humanitarian aid delivery in conflict-affected areas. Ida also serves as an Information Analyst for the Sudan Analysis Hub under ACAPS, a program of the Norwegian Refugee Council.
