Dr Peter Kirui is a History, Governance, and Development Lecturer at the University of Eldoret. He previously served as a Tutorial Fellow at Karatina University, an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Eldoret, and an Assistant Education Officer at CARE International in Kenya and Windle Trust International. Dr. Kirui's research delves into politics, governance, development, Kenya-Somalia relations, national security, and refugee politics. His educational achievements encompass a PhD in Conflict Transformation and Peace Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Master's in Governance and Development from the University of Antwerp, and a Master's in History (Political) and a B.Ed. (Arts) both with First Class distinctions from Moi University. He held the VLIR-UOS Master Scholar title for 2018-2019 at the Institute of Development Policy (IOB) at the University of Antwerp.
