Is the Co-Founder and Chairman of the HORN International Institute for Strategic Studies. He is also the Director of Arigatou International– Nairobi. He also serves as a member of the United Nations Faith Advisory Council (New York UN Headquarters), editorial board member of the African Union Journal on Terrorism and Violent Extremism (AU Center for the Study and Research on Radicalization and Terrorism, Algiers, Algeria). Dr. Ali is an accomplished author, a lecturer at the National Defence College and a guest lecturer at the University of Nairobi, Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies. He is a recipient of Coexist International Peace Prize. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom, a Master of Arts Degree in Diplomacy and International Studies from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Sciences from Moi University.
