Dr. Lawrence Nderu is the Chairman of the Department of Computing at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), where he also serves as a lecturer and researcher. He founded JHUB Africa, an innovation hub based at JKUAT, and the co-founder of gDIH in Konza City, Nairobi.

Dr. Nderu holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Paris VIII, France, as well as a Master's degree in Software Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from JKUAT. His research interests encompass Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Software Engineering. He has authored numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at international conferences.
