Col (Rtd) Godfrey Gitonga Musa is a retired military officer serving as a Non-Resident Research Fellow for Security and Defence at the Global Centre for Policy and Strategy (GLOCEPS). He has extensive experience in military operations having worked in the Kenya Defence Forces for over thirty years.
He is a consultant on international and domestic peace support operations, humanitarian defence and security (military and civil defence resourcing), disaster and emergency response and deployment strategies. He assists the resident research fellows in reviewing research documents on defence and security policies.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies from Kisii University, a Diploma in Strategic Studies from the University of Nairobi, a Diploma in Military Science from Egerton University and a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Technical University of Kenya.
